Sorry to post an OT,but I really need to vent, and maybe someone here can give me some advice.
Last weekend,my partner's stepfather came and asked if he could use our shower, she told him no because he had been drinking and she has told him before she dosen't want him at our home when he drinks. He was mad when he left but we shrugged it off.We got home from work that day and saw that he had went up anyway and taken some food,my laundry quarters, and all the bills in my AG fund jar
Robin(partner)called his friends house and he lied and said he didn't.He is the only other one who knew that our lock was broken untill Monday and knew where I hide my jar.
We went to work the next day,and when we got home he had been back, more food, the rest of my AG money AND my bank card were gone! I called and canceled it right away and he hadn't yet used it,but I feel so stupid.I always carry it with me,but left it at home that day.We didn't think he would have come back.He has done many a stupd thing when he drinks, and not remembered it later.
Now because we had to rely on Robin's card untill I get my new one(we don't drive),she has overdrawn,by $5 and they saw fit to continually charge her, which they did once before.Last time, they gave her some of the money back, this time they won't.
She's been upset for days at what her stepdad did,and now this
I'm so mad and I've been trying to not let it get to me and stay positive for her. She's heartbroken he did this to her as they were finally mendin the fences.I just can't seem to help her feel any better

This is really tough when it is a family member. You probably don't want to call the police on a stepdad. I would say in the future, after you get new locks, just try to keep him out of your home. You could always visit him at his place when he is sober. Sometimes it could be necessary to sever a relationship if the person has gotten into things that could put you in danger. Maybe the loss of support could be a wake-up call for the stepdad to make some changes in his life. I don't really have any answers for your problem, sorry. I just want to try to help with what I can. I have never been in this situation myself. Best wishes to you and your partner.
